Tehran (IP)- Of the patients diagnosed with coronavirus infection in Iran, 1,208 are in intensive care units of hospitals, The Iranian Health Ministry announced.

Iran PressIran News: The ministry said on Saturday that 1,208 victims of COVID-19 in the country are in severe condition and are being treated in intensive care units.

According to the ministry, the death toll from the pandemic in Iran has risen to 132,230, as 28 more Iranians have succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours.

Over the last 24 hours, 5,144 new cases of COVID-19 infection were reported, with 362 of them hospitalized, it added.

The Health Ministry also said more than 6,080,343 individuals have recovered or been discharged from hospitals out of a total of 6,250,490 sick people.

It went on to say that over 60,490,309 million Iranians have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, over 53,586,646 million have received the second dosage, and more than 14,563,440 million have gotten the booster shots, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 128,640,395 doses.
