Chabahar (IP) - A Trilateral Combined Naval Exercise, dubbed as "Maritime Security Belt 2022," will start on Friday in the North Indian Ocean.

Iran PressIran News: Rear-Admiral Mostafa Taj al-Dini, the Spokesman for the exercise, said in a press conference: "This is the third combined naval exercise that will be held with Iran, China and Russia attending it."

Rear-Admiral Mostafa Taj al-Dini added: "The Combined Naval Exercise, Maritime Security Belt 2022 will be held under the slogan Together for Peace and Security, in an area of ​​17,000 square kilometers."

"The exercise aims to strengthen security in the region, strengthen the security of maritime trade, combat piracy, and maritime terrorism and exchange information," he added.
