Iran Press/ Europe: President Raisi, who departed Tehran for Moscow on Wedensday morning for a two-day official trip, was welcomed at Moscow Vnukovo Airport by Russian Energy Minister Nikolay Shulginov and Russia Deputy Foreign Minister, Igor Morgulov.
Nikolay Shulginov is the Russian Chairman of the Iran-Russian Joint Economic Commission.
Iranian President has been invited by the Russian President Vladimir Putin.
President Raisi and Vladimir Putin are expected to meet today and discuss ways to improve bilateral cooperation in political and economic issues.
Expanding regional and international cooperation also is on the agenda of the leaders' meeting.
President Raisi will deliver a speech at Russia’s State Duma and Moscow State University.
Raisi also meets Iranians residing in Russia, Shia, and Sunni scholars, and Russian businessmen.
