Tehran (IP) - The Iranian ambassador to Kuala Lumpur announced an increase of more than 70% in the trade volume between Iran and Malaysia.

Iran PressAsia: Ali-Asghar Mohammadi, Iran's ambassador to Kuala Lumpur, in a meeting with Malaysian Minister of Industry and Trade Azmin Ali, added: "The volume of Iran-Malaysia trade in 2021 has reached $550 million with a growth of more than 70%."

In a conversation with the Iranian ambassador, the Malaysian Minister of Industry and Trade welcomed the expansion of trade relations between the two countries, presenting the latest state of trade relations between the two countries.

Referring to the various capacities available, Azmin Ali announced Malaysia's determination to strengthen economic relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran and expressed: "With the establishment of Iran-Malaysia Joint Economic Commission, the ground for a leap in trade relations between the two Islamic countries will be provided soon."
