Tehran (IP) -The Iranian Foreign Minister and his Kazakh counterpart discussed the most important bilateral and regional issues on the phone.

Iran PressIran news: In a telephone conversation with Kazakh Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tileuberdi on Wednesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stressed the need to expand and strengthen bilateral relations and regional and international cooperation.

Amir- Abdollahian added: "Since the beginning of the recent unrest in Kazakhstan, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been closely monitoring the developments in the country and has backed Kazakhstan's national sovereignty, while condemning foreign support and interference in this country."

Presenting a report on recent developments in his country, the Kazakh Foreign Minister stressed the continuation of Kazakhstan's principles of foreign policy towards the Islamic Republic of Iran and added: "The conversation with the Iranian Foreign Minister is a symbol of Tehran's support for Kazakhstan's national sovereignty."

Expressing satisfaction with the Islamic Republic of Iran's position during the recent developments, Mukhtar Tileuberdi stressed that the visit of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Iran is still on the agenda and the development of trade between the two countries is important for Nur-Sultan.

The Kazakh Foreign Minister also invited the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to attend the International Summit of Kazakhstan, which will be held in October 2022, referring to the 30th anniversary of the relations between the two countries and its importance for the two sides.
