COVID omicron variant:

Hormozgan (IP) – Sanitary measures in Shahid Haqqani port, the largest passenger terminal in Hormozgan Province, south of Iran, has been intensified due to the omicron spread.

Iran PressIran News: Travelers and tourists' traffic in the ports of Hormozgan Province has increased, but recently due to the emergence of the omicron variant, compliance with health protocols in the ports of Shahid Haqqani and Hormoz is required more than before.

Using face masks and disinfectants in the Haqqani and Hormoz ports as well as vessels is mandatory; tourists are required to follow the health protocols when entering Hormozgan.

According to Hamidreza Mohammadhosseini-Takhti, Director of Ports and Maritime Affairs of Shahid Bahonar, in the first six months of the Iranian year, about two million tourists and passengers commuted from Shahid Haqqani and Hormoz ports, which showed an increase of about 78 percent over the same period last year.
