Iran Press/ Iran News: Commemorating Dey 9th Epic (December 30), Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf said that Dey Ninth in Islamic Revolution history is the day of defending Islamic beliefs and saying no to enemies' plots.
He went on to add that Iranians are well aware of the critical conditions of the country and stand firm to defend it.
Speaking at the ceremony held in Tehran to commemorate Lt. Gen Qassem Soleimani's second martyrdom anniversary, Ghalibaf also stated: "The assassination of Lt General Qasem Soleimani is an inhumane and heinous crime which indicates absolute human rights violation by the enemies' plots."
Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf reiterated that being in a crucial status, the country needs a commander like Martyr Soleimani, who fought against enemies for nearly 40 years.
Iran's Parliament Speaker clarified how Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani foiled and doomed enemies' hegemonic plots, and saved Islamic countries and their nations' dignity.
Praising Qassem Soleimani's character, Ghalibaf underlined that Martyr Soleimani was never affected by politicizations.
Having a brave heart, he gave refuge to helpless men, women, and children of Islamic ummah, said the speaker.
"The US is deeply mistaken if it thinks, by murdering Qassem Soleimani, the fight against the US and child-killing Israeli regime in the world and region would dilute," he stressed.
Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, Iran's Parliament Speaker, highlighted that Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani's path would definitely be continued and followed.
The commemoration ceremony of the second anniversary of the martyrs of the resistance and the commemoration of the 9th of Dey was held in the Moslla of the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Abdolazim Hassani.
On the occasion of the 9th of Dey anniversary, the second martyrdom anniversary of Lt. Gen. Soleimani, and the memorial of the holy shrines martyrs, a ceremony was held in the presence of Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Qalibaf where he was delivering a speech as the keynote speaker.
December 30 every year, which coincides with the ninth day of the Persian calendar month of Dey (equivalent to December 30, 2009), is the reminder of the epic turnout of the Iranian nation to foil the US-led plots.
On December 30, 2009, millions of Iranians held rallies in the capital Tehran and several other cities to denounce the foreign-orchestrated unrest in the country.
