Iran Press/ Iran news: In response to the Israeli regime's meeting in the Golan Heights, Saeed Khatibzadeh called it "provocative".
He underlined that the occupied Golan Heights is an integral part of the Syrian Arab Republic, according to several UN resolutions, especially Security Council Resolution 497, noting that the UN General Assembly emphasizes this undeniable fact every year.
"The expansion of settlements and the increase in the number of Israeli immigrants in the Golan Heights cannot change the reality at all, and the Israeli settlers must know that they cannot live in the occupied lands forever," Khatibzadeh pointed.

He reiterated the Islamic Republic of Iran's solidarity and strong support for Syria on the issue of the occupied Golan.
The occupied Golan is part of the Syrian province of Al-Quneitra, which the Israeli regime occupied in the 1967 Six-Day War and annexed it to the occupied lands in 1982.
The international community has never recognized the act.
