Vienna (IP) - The Russian representative in the Vienna talks Mikhail Ulyanov called the new round of the talks pragmatic and result-oriented.

Iran PressEurope: Tweeting on Monday following the 8th meeting of the Joint Commission, the Russian representative in the Vienna talks Mikhail Ulyanov said: "In particular they agreed to intensify the drafting process in order to achieve an agreement as soon as possible."

Also, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Bagheri Kani stressed that the key to the success of the talks is to reach an agreement on the effective lifting of sanctions against Iran.

The eighth round of talks between Iran and the P4 + 1 group countries on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action JCPOA began on Monday evening in Vienna to pursue the lifting of sanctions on Iran and review the country's proposals for the relevant verifications.

In the eighth meeting of the JCPOA Joint Commission, all the parties involved acknowledged the promising advancements in the previous talks.

Also, the Deputy EU foreign policy chief and the Coordinator of the JCPOA Commission Enrique Mora confirmed the positive signs of the 8th round talks, saying all parties showed their tendency to remove the differences and achieve the desired results.

On November 29, the Iranian delegation presented two new drafts addressing the lifting of sanctions on Iran and the country's nuclear activities.

Given that the US unilaterally withdrew the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on May 18, 2018, and the European parties of the agreement failed to implement their commitments, Iran declared that all sanctions must first be lifted and the implementation of US commitments must be verified.

Currently, the other parties have given up on the Iranian draft and know that they must continue the negotiations about the drafts proposed by Iran. Discussions over the form of the negotiations have been carried out and now talks about the content are underway.

From Iran's view, the results of the negotiations depend on the seriousness and responsibility-bearing of the other parties, in particular the Western parties, so that they prepare the grounds for reaching a win-win agreement guaranteeing the interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
