Islamabad (IP) - Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs called the inclusive government with the participation of all ethnic groups in Afghanistan as the main strategy for solving its issues.

Iran PressAsia: Referring to the concerns of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the developments in Afghanistan, the Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian emphasized: "The main strategy is to form an inclusive government with the participation of all ethnic groups in Afghanistan."

"The main topic of the extraordinary meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the OIC member states is to address the developments in Afghanistan, which the Islamic Republic of Iran is concerned about," Amir-Abdollahian said on Sunday morning as he arrived in the Pakistani capital Islamabad.

He mentioned the phenomenon of the growth of terrorism in Afghanistan and the issue of the wave of refugees and asylum seekers towards the Islamic Republic of Iran in recent months as one of Tehran's concerns and said: 

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian expressed hope that the emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation would be able to send a unanimous message to the international community and the interim governing body in the neighboring country in order to form an inclusive government in Afghanistan.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran arrived in the capital of Pakistan, Islamabad, on Sunday morning, local time, to attend an extraordinary meeting of the OIC member states with the agenda of reviewing the situation in Afghanistan.

Amir- Abdollahian is scheduled to address the meeting of foreign ministers of Islamic countries, to explain the latest positions of Iran in the discussion of Afghanistan and developments around the region.

On the sidelines of the Islamabad meeting, the Iranian Foreign Minister will meet with some of his counterparts from various countries, including the Pakistani Foreign Minister.
