OIC SG arrives in Islamabad

Islamabad(IP): The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) arrived in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, to attend an extraordinary meeting of the Organization's Foreign Ministers on Afghanistan.

Iran PressAsia: Hussein Ibrahim Taha arrived in Islamabad on Friday morning to attend the meeting in Afghanistan hosted by the Pakistani government.

The 17th Extraordinary Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the OIC member states with the plan of Afghanistan is scheduled to be held in the city of Islamabad for two days on December 18 -19, 2021. 

It is to be hosted by the Government of Pakistan.  

Pakistani, in a statement, thanked the significant countries of the Islamic world, including the Islamic Republic of Iran, for voicing their readiness to participate in the next meeting of the OIC Foreign Ministers.

Public travel and movements in the diplomatic zones will be banned in the next two days.

Pakistan has announced the suspension of smartphone services in the capital city Islamabad.
