In a telephone conversation with the head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Movement (Hamas), Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian stressed that the Zionist regime is the principal reason behind the region's problems.

Iran PressIran news: In a telephone conversation with Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Movement (Hamas), Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian  congratulated the movement on its anniversary, adding: "The few countries in the region that are on the path of normalizing their relations with the Zionist regime are moving against the security and interests of the region and the Islamic Ummah."

In this telephone conversation, the Iranian Foreign Minister called the Hamas movement one of the pioneers of the Islamic Resistance in the liberation of Holy Quds and stated: "Today, the resistance plays a pivotal role in realizing the historical rights of the Palestinian people.

Referring to the recent action of the British government in declaring Hamas a terrorist organization, Iran's Foreign Minister called it a political action against the Palestinian people.

Amirabdollahian further emphasized the continuation of the Islamic Republic of Iran's support for the resistance of the Palestinian people.

Haniyeh also condemned the action of some countries in the region in normalizing relations with the Zionist regime and assessed this action as an American-Zionist approach.

The head of the Hamas political bureau called the Zionist regime's move to infiltrate the region leading to insecurity, instability and a threat to the Palestinian cause and to the entire Islamic Ummah and declared that this strategy is doomed to failure. 219
