The unequal distribution of COVID-19 vaccines in the past year has been a global moral failure, says the Secretary-General of the United Nations.

Iran PressAmerica: Since the coronavirus outbreak in China in the last two years, the world has faced tough challenges.

One of the significant challenges in this direction has been that instead of eradicating the virus in the world, the countries developing the vaccines have only sought to vaccinate their nations. For this reason, while rich countries have vaccinated almost most of their citizens, few people were immunized in poor countries.

"We must learn from this experience. The pandemic will not end for any country until it ends for every country," the Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres tweeted.
