Iran Press/ Asia: The agricultural situation in Afghanistan is not good, and with the continuation of the drought, the most important source of income for the people is disappearing.
Iran Press interviews with some farmers in Kabul province clearly show that the drying up of rivers and springs has significantly affected their agriculture.
An Afghan farmer told Iran Press News Agency: "With the drought, agricultural lands have been destroyed, and the people's livelihood has been weakened."
Nasir Ahmad Rouhani, a Taliban official in Kabul's Kalakan district, said the drought had prevented agricultural land from being cultivated in the area.
In addition, the economic situation in Afghanistan is extremely critical, and the value of the country's currency is declining on a daily basis. In such a situation, the release of Afghanistan's financial resources by the United States, and the international community's humanitarian assistance to the people, is all which is of greater importance.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Republic of Iran has sent more than ten consignments of humanitarian aid to the Afghan people since the Taliban came to power.
