Tehran (IP) - The Petrochemical Research and Technology Company CEO announced the breaking of the monopoly of foreign companies in supplying the catalysts needed by the petrochemical industry.

Iran PressIran news: According to the National Petrochemical Company, Majid Daftari said: “Iran will not need to import the main catalysts of the petrochemical industry by 2023.”

Commemorating the research week and congratulating the petrochemical industry researchers, said: “Petrochemical Research and Technology Company, with the support of the petrochemical industry and using the world’s latest technical savvy, is always in the process of developing the industry.”

He added: “Based on its strategic plans, the company is taking steps to formulate and develop technical knowledge for production of catalysts and chemicals required by the petrochemical industry, secondary industries, optimization of production units and existing knowledge, and commercialization of technical knowhow.”

The CEO stated that out of 40 types of catalyst groups in the petrochemical industry, 20 have been indigenized and industrialized, adding by the end of the current calendar year, which began on March 20, 8 more groups of catalysts will be localized, and the remaining 12 groups are under study.”
