Barter trade balances trade between Iran, Brazil: MP

Tehran (IP)- Barter of Iran's oil products with agriculture products of Brazil balances trade between the two sides, the spokesman for Iran Parliament's Agriculture Commission said.

Iran PressIran news: Ahad Azadikhah made the remarks after a meeting with Laudemar Gonçalves de Aguiar Neto, Brazil's ambassador to Tehran, in which the two sides stressed the need to strengthen economic relations.

The commission spokesman continued: "By exporting products such as urea fertilizer, petroleum products, petrochemicals and agricultural products such as pistachios, saffron and raisins, we can achieve a good trade balance."

Azadikhah also announced the presence of Iranian producers in an Expo in Brazil next year.

Brazil is the world's eighth-largest economy and Iran's most important economic partner in the Americas, with $ 2033 billion in GDP and $ 400 billion in foreign trade per year.
