Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs and top negotiator stressed that as long as the US Maximum Pressure policy continues, the revival of the JCPOA is nothing more than empty words.

Iran PressIran news:  After the new round of talks of the JCPOA Joint Commission finished on Monday, November 29, Ali Bagheri-Kani said all of the P4+1 countries agreed to Iran's right demand to lift sanctions and stressed that firstly, the status of US' illegal sanctions should be clarified.

He stressed that lifting the sanctions against Iran must be a top priority in the JCPOA negotiations. 

In response to a reporter's question about whether he was optimistic about the results of the talks, the Iranian top negotiators said: "Yes."

After a six-month cease, the new round of talks of the JCPOA Joint Commission kicked off in Vienna to lift US sanctions against Iran.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, in an article published in IRNA on Monday, said that “Iran is serious, acts in good faith, and considers the practical and tangible result to be the removal of sanctions.”

The meeting ended an hour ago in Vienna.

"They insist that their clear top priority is lifting of sanctions," EU coordinator Mora said after the Joint Commission meeting today.

EU coordinator went on to say: "The important thing, now, we are engaging again. the working group on sanctions lifting will be meeting tomorrow morning. the other working group should meet the next day."
