Tehran (IP) – Iran's navy chief-commander says the countries of the region provide the region's security, and there is no need for the presence of others.

Iran PressIran News: Speaking at the celebration of the National Navy Day, which was held in Tehran on Sunday night in the presence of foreign military affiliates, Rear-Admiral Shahram Irani announced Iran's readiness for educational interactions and technical cooperation with all friendly countries.

He also asked the guests to convey Iran's message of peace and friendship to the military commanders of their countries.

"In an effort to develop and rebuild the nation, we joined hands with the IRGC Navy Force and established maritime security and fought against piracy and maritime terrorism to secure Iran's economy," he noted.

Referring to the oppressive sanctions on the Islamic Republic of Iran, he stated: "Despite sanctions, we have localized repairing naval equipment and we have progressed so much that we have designed and built our submarines and ships."
