Mashhad (IP) - Consular Director-General of Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports an increase in visa issuance for foreigners, after a 20-month period due to the corona pandemic.

Iran PressIran news: Mahmoud Abdi said on Thursday said with the visa issuance increase after the period, the economy of the country shored up in the tourism industry through the facilitation of travel to Iran and from it.

Adib recalled: "Special attention to the neighboring countries is a priority of the Iranian government, and this policy is seriously pursued in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the Foreign Minister and specialized departments of the ministry."

"During the 20-month period of coronavirus pandemic, when almost part of the country's industrial and economic activities were shut down, the chain of foreign passenger traffic was not interrupted with planning and defining some processes, and the conditions for foreigners to travel to Iran were facilitated," he noted.

Mahmoud Adib made the remarks at the joint conference of Iranian and Iraqi tourism industry activists, held in Mashhad, northeast of Iran.
