The Syrian army's air defense intercepted an Israeli rocket attack on the central province of Homs on Wednesday morning.

Iran PressMiddle East: Syria's official Sanaa news agency reported that the Syrian army's air defense had intercepted and destroyed several missiles over the Homs province.

According to SANA, the missiles were fired by Israeli fighter jets.

Meanwhile, Syrian  Al-Ikhbariyah television reported that Israeli fighters carried out the attack via Lebanese airspace.

The attack killed two Syrian civilians and wounded seven others, including six Syrian soldiers.

The crisis in Syria began in 2011 with a massive offensive by terrorist groups backed by Saudi Arabia, the United States and their allies to shift the regional equation in favor of the Zionist regime.

Israel is deeply concerned about the complete defeat of terrorists in Syria. 219
