Iran Press/ America: "The humanitarian situation is very worrying, and as winter approaches, the people of Afghanistan are facing an imminent humanitarian crisis," said Majid Takht-e Ravanchi, the ambassador and permanent representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations, at the Security Council meeting on Wednesday.
He also stated: "Iran, as a neighboring country and based on strong historical, cultural, linguistic and religious ties between the two nations, cannot remain indifferent to the problems of the Afghan people."
Takht-e Ravanchi stressed that the timely provision of humanitarian aid and the release of Afghanistan's frozen assets, which are necessary to revive the country's economy and save the lives of the people, should by no means be political and conditional.

Iran's representative to the United Nations said that the recent terrorist attacks in Afghanistan are very worrying, adding that the formation of an inclusive and elected government of the people, with the participation of all ethnic and religious groups, committed to fighting terrorism and organized crime and guarantee and protecting the rights of the people based on human rights for all the people of Afghanistan, including all ethnicities and languages, religious minorities and women, is vital to building a secure, stable and prosperous Afghanistan for the people.
