Iran Press/ Iran News: Mohammad-Hassan Qowsian-Moqaddam said that the initial relief and rescue operations have been completed and four neighboring provinces are in full alert status.
Qowsian said that 100% destruction of homes is very rare and in villages in the vicinity the walls are cracked.
The IRSC spokesman reiterated that temporary settlements and tents are set up so that the people will spend the night in open areas and parks.
A 6.4-magnitude earthquake shook the city of Fin in the southern Iranian province of Hormuzgan on Sunday.
It was also felt on Geno mountain and parts of it collapsed. The quake affected Bandar Abbas, Minab, Roodan, and Qeshm Island.
People in the city of Bandar Abbas, the capital of Hormozgan province, took to the streets and spent the night in tents after the 6.4 magnitude earthquake and its aftershocks.
According to the Seismological Center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the earthquake occurred at 15:37:04 hours local time (12:07:04 GMT) and the depth of 15 km underground.
It was followed by a 6.3-magnitude aftershock a minute later at 15:38:38 hours local time (12:08:38 GMT).
At least seven mild aftershocks, the latest one magnitude 3.2, jolted the areas late on Sunday, Nov 14, 2021, causing panic.
The quakes were also felt in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and Afghanistan.
