Iran Press/ Europe: The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Bagheri Kani stressed that the JCPOA has a clear framework and other issues other than nuclear ones are not related to it, adding that Iran will not negotiate over its defense or security capabilities.
In this interview, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran referred to the Vienna talks and stressed that Iran wants a commitment that the United States will not withdraw from the nuclear deal again.
Earlier, on Thursday night, Ali Bagheri also referred to the issue of the 400 million debt of the United Kingdom to the Islamic Republic of Iran and said: the issue of the debt, its payment and amount are agreed upon by the two parties.
The 400 million British debt to Iran was related to the contract for the sale of 1,500 Chieftain tanks and 250 armored vehicles in 1974 and 1976, which were not implemented after the Islamic Revolution in Iran and the imposition of harsh Western sanctions on Iran.
The International Court of Justice has sentenced the British side to pay the debt.
In the meeting held on Thursday, behind closed doors, Ali Bagheri Kani explained Iran's stances and approaches toward the JCPOA, as well as the consequences of the US and EU lack of commitment to fulfill the agreement.
Following his visit to Europe, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs arrived in London on Thursday morning heading a diplomatic delegation to meet with British officials, after meeting with the French and German Foreign Ministry officials.
