IRGC unveils atlas of air defence in imposed war

Tehran (IP) - During a ceremony on Thursday, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) unveiled 'IRGC Air Defense Atlas in the Imposed War'.

Iran PressIran news: The atlas was unveiled on Thursday at the commemoration ceremony held on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Martyr Hassan Tehrani-Moghaddam, the father of Iran's missile technology.

The book deals with the evolution of the IRGC air defense from 1980 to 1988 (during the US-backed Iraqi Baathist regime's invasion of Iran), published by the Holy Defense Research and Document Center.

The ceremony to commemorate the 10th martyrdom anniversary of Major General Hassan Tehrani-Moghaddam was held in Tehran under full compliance with hygienic protocols, early Thursday morning, with  Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf the Parliament Speaker, and Brigadier General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh, the Commander of Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) in attendance.

Major General Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam, born on October 29, 1959, founded Iran's long-range missile technology. He designed the Shahab, Ghadr, and Sejjil ballistic missiles with an operational range of more than 1,000–2,500 kilometers to deter threats of his country's enemies.
