Tehran (IP) - In an Instagram post, Iran's foreign Minster noted that he would not stop diplomatic consultations to follow up on the rights of the Iranian nation, even in quarantine.

Iran PressIran news: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian who is in quarantine due to the corona infection said the quarantine did not mean that diplomatic consultations and efforts to pursue the rights of the Iranian people stopped.

"Over the past few days, in telephone conversations with my counterparts, including the foreign ministers of Russia, China, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Syria, Britain, Turkey and Germany, I have continued to discuss bilateral, regional and international issues," Amir-Abdollahian wrote, adding that the consultations would continue. 

In a telephone conversation on Monday, the Iranian and German Foreign Ministers talked about the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Heiko Maas wrote in a tweet that he made by the call to the Foreign Minister of Iran Hossein Amir-Abdollahian to talk about the resumption of the Vienna talks at the end of November.

While ignoring the failure of the Western parties of the JCPOA to fulfill their commitments to the international agreement they signed, Mass said: "Germany's goal is for the negotiations to be concluded quickly so that the JCPOA can be fully implemented again, soon."

After 13 years of intensive international negotiations, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), was concluded on July 14, 2015.

One week later, UN Security Council ratified Resolution No. 2231 and attached to Annex A of the resolution.

Yet, after Donald Trump took office as the US President in January 2017 and took a few preliminary steps to fulfill the deal, he unilaterally withdrew from the agreement on May 8, 2018, reimposing more sanctions on Iran.
