The chairman of the Iranian Red Crescent Society's Health Center based in Mali reported the center's measures in providing the Malian people in the country's deprived areas with health and medical services.

Iran PressAfrica: Khalil Mokhtari said the caravan of free visits and medicine of Iran's Red Crescent Health Center provided health services to Sego city of Mali.

Iran is providing the services in line with its social responsibility and in coincidence with Solidarity Month in Mali.

"A total of 1,230 people received health services from the caravan for free at the Red Crescent Health Center in the country," Mokhtari said.

The medical services provided are welcomed by a large number of people in Mali and promoted health in the deprived region of Africa.

Iran's Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has also provided other African countries with such services, including training courses in this regard.

IRCS, based in Kenya, held a TB, COVID, and AIDS course in June for the Kenyan high school students at Iran's Innovation and Technology Center in Nairobi.

The Iranian humanitarian body now has 13 active health centres in South America, Africa and Asia, including hospitals, specialized polyclinics and general clinics (treatment, hemodialysis and rehabilitation).
