Afghanistan (IP) - District Medical Center of Jalalabad, the capital of Nangarhar province in Afghanistan, is currently facing difficulties in treating patients as well as paying nurses and doctors.

Iran PressAsia: The situation of the Jalalabad District Medical Center indicates the difficult days of treatment in Afghanistan's medical centers; an issue that has doubled the urgency of the international community and Afghanistan's neighbors' attention to send humanitarian aid to the country.

According to Iran Press, a large number of Afghanistan's Ministry of Health employees have lost their jobs and also medical centers are facing a shortage of medicine, due to the recent crisis in the country.

Doctors in Afghan hospitals say that if the international community does not continue to provide assistance to Afghanistan, Afghanistan's health situation will fall into crisis.

The Afghan medical staff have been facing a serious shortage of medicine for nearly two months, and some medical clinics have been destroyed during the war between the Taliban and former government forces in Afghanistan.
