Tehran (IP) - Iran's Foreign minister at Tehran's summit on Afghanistan called on all neighboring countries, United Nations, and International Communities to send more humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.

Iran PressIran News:  Speaking at his presser on the sidelines of the ''Second Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Afghanistan’s Neighboring Countries'', Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said the talk about humanitarian aids to Afghanistan was one of the main issues in the conference.

The ''Second Meeting of Afghanistan's Neighboring Countries'', hosted by Tehran at the level of foreign ministers and attended by the First Vice President of Iran, kicked off Wednesday morning.

Responding to the Iran Press question, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stated that since we are entering the cold season and the country's unstable economic, security, and social conditions, helping Afghanistan is a serious problem.

" If the youth in Afghanistan are hungry and cannot meet their needs, they may be hired by the terrorist groups, which is a serious issue," Iranian FM added.

Emphasizing sending aids to Afghanistan, Iran’s Foreign Minister added that if the situation was not controlled, more displaced people would move to the neighboring countries.

The Iranian Foreign Minister once again called for the establishment of an inclusive government in Afghanistan, a position that was supported by other countries participating in the conference.

The Foreign Ministers of Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan have attended the conference.  The Chinese foreign minister, whose country shares a 46-mile border with Afghanistan, and the Russian foreign minister are also addressed at the Meeting by videoconferencing.

Foreign ambassadors in Tehran, including the Chinese and Russian ambassadors, are participated in the conference.

It is the second time that Iran is hosting a conference on Afghanistan since the Taliban took the power in the Central Asian country.

Iran and Pakistan share the longest borders with Afghanistan and host the largest number of refugees from Afghanistan.
