Iran PressIran News: In an interview with Iran Press on the sidelines of the closing ceremony of the 35th International Islamic Unity Conference, Sheikh Akram Barakat stated that the aim of holding the Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran is to counter enemies' conspiracies.

"Despite all media developments in the world, in recent years we have witnessed the emergence of takfiri groups; they are misleading the Muslim youth, and these takfiri elements have created chaos in Islamic countries; hence; certainly, awareness, and efforts should be made to get to know each other, the especially younger generation," he said.

"Today, the Israeli, the US, and their allies are trying to make a rift between Muslims since they are afraid of the unity and solidarity that shows the power of Muslims," he added.

He noted that the conference indicates Muslims' power around the world and foils enemies' conspiracies.

The 35th edition of the Islamic Unity Conference wrapped up in Tehran on Saturday, October 23, with prominent Muslim scholars, intellectuals, and thinkers from across the globe exchanging their views on the latest issues challenging the world of Islam.
