Tehran(IP)- Iran's Vice President for Science and Technology urged the Islamic countries' thinkers to encourage joint cultural initiatives to overcome global challenges.

Iran PressIran News: Addressing the scientists and intellectuals at the 4th edition of the Mustafa Prize event on Thursday, Sorena Sattari said: "in the current situation where Islamic countries are facing great social challenges, it is the responsibility of all the great thinkers and scientists of the Islamic world to act as the flagship of joint cultural initiatives."

Sattari stressed that holding the Mustafa Prize ceremony focused on using science and technology as an opportunity to strengthen the fields of brotherhood and tolerance in Islamic society. 

The 4th edition of the Mustafa Prize ceremony was held at Vahdat Hall on Thursday night in Tehran with the presence of Sorena Sattari, the Vice President for Science and Technology, Mohammad-Ali Zolfigol Minister of Science, Research, and Technology, and the former Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi.

The national jury consisted of more than 100 members.

In the final evaluation, 150 international members joined the jury. On the whole, about 250 national and international experts evaluated the received scientific works

In the three previous editions, more than 270 scientists from 33 countries were invited to the final stage of the Mustafa Prize ceremony, with 9 scientists from Iran, Singapore, Turkey, and Jordan were honored.
