Tehran (IP) – The introductory ceremony for Kazem Gharibabadi as the Deputy of International Affairs of Iran's Judiciary and Secretary-General of Iran's Human Rights alongside Asghar Jahangir as the Deputy of Social Affairs and Crime Prevention of the Judiciary was held on Wednesday.

Iran PressIran News: Speaking at the ceremony, Kazem Gharibabadi said: "We hope to take important steps to enhance Judiciary status with the cooperation of relevant institutions and consult with all relevant organizations about human rights."

He added that the Human Rights Headquarters need the support and cooperation of the agencies.

"The formulation and explanation of the human rights achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran is my main plan; human rights are not limited to political and judicial issues, so we must introduce the achievements both domestically and internationally," Gharibabadi pointed.

"We consider pursuing crimes committed against the Islamic Republic of Iran," he added.

Gharibabadi considered problems of Iranians abroad as his other central programs and said: "Efforts to solve the problems of these people and provide various facilities in technology and providing Iranian people's interests are on the agenda."

Following the ceremony, the former Deputy of Iran's Judiciary on International Affairs and Secretary-general of Iran's Human Rights Office, Ali Bagheri-Kani, stated that Western countries are pursuing sanctions and terrorism by justifying the false claim of human rights and said: "These countries, are violating human rights and they even politicize it."

He went on to say that the human rights of Western countries are political, while the Islamic Republic of Iran's policy is to protect the human rights of the oppressed nations, such as Yemen and Palestine.
