Sarajevo(IP)- Members of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Chamber of Commerce welcomed the expansion of relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran Press/Europe: Siavash Malekifar, Deputy for Development of National Innovation Fund of Iran, met with members of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Chamber of Commerce in Sarajevo to emphasize the further development of economic relations between the two countries.

Malekifar added: "The strategy of Iran's National Innovation Fund in the field of exports includes the sale and direct export of Iranian technological products to the Balkan market with a focus on Bosnia."

The deputy for development of Iran's National Innovation Fund stated: "Since Iran's Islamic Revolution and in the last 40 years, we have always tried to develop science, technology and innovation in Iran, and we have been able to become independent in many matters and localize the world's modern equipment."

Members of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Chamber of Commerce stressed: "71% of the country's trade is with European countries, and this can be important for Iranian companies."

Members of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Chamber of Commerce also stressed that the country has the potential to become Iran's export corridor to European countries.

Earlier, the 13th permanent product base for Iranian knowledge-based products was inaugurated in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In this exhibition, which was inaugurated on Wednesday, the products of 25 Iranian knowledge-based companies have been on display.

The Islamic Republic of Iran's policy has always aimed at supporting the national sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Tehran  has repeatedly voiced readiness to cooperate with the European country.
