Tehran (IP) – The spokesman of the Iranian Parliament's National Security Commission says the relations of Iran with its neighbors in the Caucasus have a bright future.

Iran PressIran news: Mahmoud Abbaszadeh-Meshkini elaborated on Thursday about the meeting of the members of the Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission with the Assembly of northwestern provinces' MPs, Leader's Representative in Azerbaijan Ali-Akbar Ojaqnejad, Ambassador Abbas Mousavi, and Intelligence Ministry's officials and experts on the developments in the Caucasus region.

He stated that a realistic analysis of the Caucasus and the Republic of Azerbaijan issue exists in the relevant Iranian bodies.

Expressing hope for the continuation of these meetings, he noted that the outcome of these meetings could help draft a strategic document on the policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Caucasus region.
