Tehran (IP): Navy commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran said that 90% of Tehran's trade with countries is done through a maritime economy.

Iran PressIran News: In an interview with Iran Press on the sidelines of the parliament's economic commission, Rear Admiral Shahram Irani added that a report on Iran's marine capabilities was submitted to the commission.

Iran's navy commander called security and economy by seas two main issues.

Iran was present with authority in all its territorial waters and will continue to be present with determination, he highlighted.

Tehran has proved its readiness by sending battleships to three oceans covering 45000 km, the official noted.

The navy commander said that today, Iran relies on indigenous capacities and technologies to produce and support all needed equipment in seas.
