The two sides discussed the sponsoring of the 10th Bilateral Political Committee at deputy foreign ministers’ level in Tehran, the 15th Session of Bilateral Commission at foreign ministers’ level, and the upcoming state visit of President Raisi to South Africa, and other issues of mutual interest.

Ms. Pandor voiced her satisfaction for meeting the Iranian foreign minister on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, emphasizing the importance of further expansion of bilateral relations.

Amirabdollahian welcomed his South African counterpart’s proposals, emphasizing that the subcommittees for investments, energy, health, and international cooperation need to be on the agenda, and the issues of mutual interest need to be discussed to further expand bilateral trade and commerce.
