A moderate magnitude 4.7 quake, shook southern Iran near Bandar-e Lengeh in Hormozgan province at the coast of the Persian Gulf.

Iran PressIran news:  The earthquake hit early evening on Sunday, October 10th, 2021, at 7:11 pm local time at a shallow depth of 10 km.

Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Bandar-e Lengeh located 96 km from the epicenter, Bandar Abbas 106 km away, and Bandar Abbas 106 km away.

There are no immediate reports of injuries or severe damage.
