Mashhad (IP) – On the third day of Rabi' al-Awwal month, a green flag was hoisted over the dome of the holy shrine of Imam Reza in Mashhad, Northeast Iran.

Iran PressIran News: After two months of mourning in Muharram and Safar, the black flag of the dome of the holy shrine of Imam Reza was replaced by a green flag on Sunday coincident with the third day of Rabi' al-Awwal month beginning in Islamic Calendar.

The cover of the holy shrine's Zarih was also changed.

Zarih stands for an ornate, usually gilded, lattice structure that encloses a grave in a mosque or Islamic shrine.
