Iran Press/ Middle East: Having taken a trip to Iraq, Mohammad Nozari in a meeting with Governor-General of Karbala Nassif Jassem al-Khattabi said: "Regrading the exclusive commute of Iranian pilgrims at Mehran border and the proximity of this international border to Karbala, we are ready to cooperate more and provide the necessary arrangements for better services to the pilgrims of al- Atabat al-Muqaddasa (Holy Shrines of Shia' Imams) at all times, especially in Arba'een."
Referring to the great tourism potential of Ilam province, he emphasized the conclusion of a joint memorandum between the two provinces in this regard.
The governor of Ilam Iran reminded: "Ilam province is ready to cooperate with Karbala province and Iraq in various fields such as medical tourism, education of Karbala students in Ilam universities and receiving tourists."
Nozari referred to the 65% commuting of Iranian pilgrims through the international border of Mehran in Arba'een, demanding the abolition of visas for pilgrims.
He praised the people and the governor of Karbala for the proper reception of the pilgrims of Aba Abdullah al-Hussein (AS) in Arba'een this year.
Following this meeting, the Governor-General of Karbala expressed his satisfaction with the presence of Iranian pilgrims in the Arba'een procession in the current year, announcing his readiness to cooperate more with his Iranian counterpart.
At the end of the meeting, a team consisting of different parts of Karbala province was decided to leave for Ilam province in the near future to implement the issues raised.
