Amir-Abdollahian: Iran to stay with Syria

Damascus (IP) - Iranian foreign minister says Syria is on the path of development and progress, and the Islamic Republic will stay by the side of Damascus with power, as it did during the terrorist war against Syria.

Iran PressMiddle East: Upon his arrival in Syria, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian told reporters: "Continuing my trip to Moscow and Beirut, today I am in Damascus to complete consultations and meet with President Bashar al-Assad."

"We have always paid serious attention to regional developments and bilateral relations, meeting and consulting with our Syrian friends the country's authorities," he noted.

He pointed out that in recent weeks, crucial agreements have been reached on the comprehensive development of relations between the two countries and intensive and planned activities to develop economic, trade, and tourism cooperation.
