Tehran (IP) - The Spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs says the negotiations on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) must ensure the rights of the Iranian nation.

Iran PressIran news: َIn a Tuesday tweet, Saeed Khatibzadeh wrote about his interview with France 24 on JCPOA: "Our sole aim is to ensure talks will secure our rights—including sufficient guarantees that the US will actually stick to the deal this time. "We will return to Vienna as soon as our internal review process is concluded. No preconditions," Khatibzadeh added.

The adherence of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the international agreement and constant dialogue over it comes as the European party of the JCPOA is just hedging to implement its reciprocal commitments.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian tweeted on Monday about his meeting with French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly in New York: "France announced its readiness to review relations and develop them, and while welcoming, I said that Iran's new government is pragmatic, so we have to see how you act."

The JCPOA was agreed on 14 July 2015, between Iran and the P5+1(China, France, Russia, United Kingdom, United States—plus Germany) to be implemented, but the US unilaterally withdrew the internationally signed agreement on May 8, 2018.

Now the US has come back and, along with its European allies, wants to renegotiate the deal, posing pre-conditions for the talks on the JCPOA.
