Iranian, Pakistani Deputy FMs discuss expansion of bilateral relations

Pakistan (IP) - Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs and his Pakistani counterpart held a meeting in Pakistan over boosting regional and international relations.

Iran PressAsia: In a meeting on Tuesday with Pakistan's deputy foreign minister Soheil Mahmoud, Ali Bagheri Kani expressed hope that obstacles in the way of the two countries' relations were removed. 

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs arrived in Pakistan on Tuesday morning and is scheduled to have a meeting with Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmoud Qureshi. 

Earlier, the Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan met with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in the Tajik capital Dushanbe to discuss strengthening ties between the two countries.  

Meanwhile, Pakistani media reported the reopening of a joint border crossing with the Islamic Republic of Iran at the Taftan-Mirjaveh Custom to facilitate the commute of traders and students.
