In a meeting between the President of Iran National Standard Organization (INSO) and officials of the Iraqi Standard Organization, the two sides stressed the need to remove barriers to exports from Iran to Iraq.

Iran PressMiddle East: Gholamreza Shariati, the President of INSO, in a meeting with the head and officials of the Iraqi standard, emphasized facilitating and developing trade relations.

Shariati, who has traveled to Iraq to address the problems of exports, said: "In this meeting, the two sides emphasized removing technical and trade barriers between the two countries, especially the recent problems in the field of exports."

Referring to the high volume of exports of Iranian goods to Iraq, Shariati added: "Good decisions were made for exports, and the minutes of these decisions were prepared."

The meeting reviewed the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in 2015.

The trip is also attended by the deputies of the head of the National Standard Organization of Iran and Masoumeh Pashaei, a member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly and a member of the Supreme Council of Standards.
