Iran says if it were not for special role of Lt. Gen Soleimani, our region would be different today

Tehran (IP) - Iranian Foreign Minister, in a meeting with the commander of the IRGC's Quds Force, said that if it were not for the special role of Lt. Gen Soleimani, the hero of the fight against terrorism and Zionism, our region would be different today.

Iran PressIran news: Hossein Amir- Abdollahian added in the meeting: "If ISIS had succeeded in Syria and Iraq, today the whole world would face terrorism and extremism."

The Head of Iran's Foreign Policy machinery emphasized: "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran will proudly follow the path of the peace commander, 'Haj Ghasem Soleimani', in institutionalizing peace and friendship with the countries of the region and in the fight against terrorism.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian called the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps a soldier without borders who has made a great contribution to regional and global security and peace.

Brigadier General Ismail Ghaani, Commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps, also paid tribute to the memory of the great martyr Lt. Gen Haj Ghasem Soleimani and the martyrs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran.

He also emphasized the special and significant position of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in securing the national interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
