Iran's daily COVID death toll slumps to 284

Tehran (IP) - Iran's Health Ministry announced that 284 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 118,792.

Iran PressIran news: "A sum of 15,294 new patients infected with COVID-19 have been identified in the country based on confirmed diagnosis criteria during the past 24 hours," the Iranian Health Ministry's Public Relations Center said on Wednesday, adding: "2,061 of them  have been hospitalized during the same time span."

It expressed satisfaction that 4,897,876 coronavirus patients have recovered or been discharged from hospitals so far.

6,502 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 31,545,337 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 29 cities are red, 224 are orange, and 165 are yellow zones.

So far, 34,007,380 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 15,693,292 have received the second dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 49,100,672 doses.
