New York (IP) – Iranian Foreign Minister met with his Swiss counterpart on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly on Tuesday to discuss bilateral relations.

Iran Press/America: Amir-Abdollahian expressed his desire for the relations between Iran and Switzerland to expand further and to witness the widespread presence of Swiss companies in Iran's economic and development projects.

He also elaborated on Iran's position on the Vienna talks regarding the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), noting that the Americans do not act honestly regarding the deal.

"Washington has no choice but to completely reconsider its approach and behavior; both the Americans and the European parties need to show the necessary flexibility for future negotiations to have tangible results," he stated.

Ignazio Cassis also stressed Bern's readiness to expand relations with Iran and said: "Switzerland is ready for any kind of cooperation necessary for better and more use of the Swiss financial channel in order to supply the goods desired by Iran."
