Official:
Iran has exported $ 5 billion to ECO members

Tehran (IP) - Iran's customs spokesman said that the country had exported $5 billion to nine member countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in the past five months.

Iran PressIran news: Ruhollah Latifi, the spokesman for Iran's customs, said: "In the past five months, 7,944,322 tons of goods worth $4,967,319,849 have been exchanged between Iran and other ECO member countries."

He added: "Iran's share was 6 million 107 thousand 311 tons, worth 2 billion 953 million 303 thousand 532 dollars."

"The other members have exported 1 million 837 thousand 11 tons of goods worth 2 billion 14 million 16 thousand 317 dollars to Iran," the spokesman said.

"Iran's trade with ECO during this period compared to the same period in the last year has grown by a total of 8% in weight and 38% in value," Latifi added.

Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and the Republic of Azerbaijan are members of the ECO.
