Iran Press/ Iran news: Attending his weekly press conference, in response to Iran Press on the talks about Afghanistan on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Saeed Khatibzadeh stated that the results of the talks would be released soon.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian held various bilateral talks concerning Afghanistan, calling it one of the main issues of their negotiations, Khatibzadeh noted.
The results of the talks released in a statement were noticeable, he added.
He added: "Afghanistan must be a safe and secure place where there is no terrorism; Afghanistan must be a safe place for its neighbors as well."
Foreign Ministry spokesman went on to say that Afghans must decide about their future without foreigners' interference.
Saeed Khatibzadeh announced the Foreign Minister's visit to New York, saying: "Amir-Abdollahian will meet with officials from 42 countries, including the P4+1 ministers."
Referring to the Lebanese Foreign Minister's comments on Iran's fuel shipment, Khatibzadeh said: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has always been committed to the governments of friendly countries in terms of cooperation and assistance."
"What was done in this regard was a request from the Lebanese traders; the purchase was normal and this shipment was sent."
He added: "I will not comment on the internal affairs of Lebanon, but I assure you that if tomorrow the government wants to buy fuel from us to solve the problems of its people, we will still provide it to them."
Peace and stability in Lebanon are more important to us than anything else, and we help the Lebanese government succeed, he highlighted.
Concerning the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, the Foreign Ministry spokesman also said: "What happened at the summit was seriously reflected in the statement of the four countries. In the meetings that took place, the issue of Afghanistan was a serious issue at the level of the President and the Foreign Minister of Iran."
Khatibzadeh noted: "In this meeting, a serious agreement was reached on several points, one of which was the formation of an inclusive government with the participation of all ethnicities and groups in Afghanistan that reflect the ethnic and demographic order of the country, and that Afghanistan's achievements will be realized in the future."
"No foreign interference is acceptable, and everyone should help the Afghan people shape their future and have their voices heard," he said.
According to the Iran Foreign Ministry spokesman, the results of the talks held at the level of leaders and delegations will become clearer in the near future.
US; biggest violator of human rights
Saeed Khatibzadeh said: 60 million doses of vaccine will be imported next month. Only the Ministry of Health will comment on which vaccine will be imported to Iran, and any vaccine approved by the Ministry of Health will be imported.
Khatibzadeh added: "The United States, is the biggest violator of human rights and the basic rights of people, including the right to live and access to basic facilities, whose actions have gone unpunished during these years."
"Last week, you saw a 10-member convoy of ordinary Afghans attacked. At first, they said that extremist groups had attacked, and yesterday they said, 'Sorry, it was a mistake.' The killing of women, children, etc. is easily considered a mistake by them. This situation has created painful conditions for the world," he noted.
Regarding the follow-up on the assassination of General Qasem Soleimani, Khatibzadeh said: "The Minister of Foreign Affairs had a meeting inside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and after that, other meetings were held to clarify some aspects of the legal and international prosecution of this cowardly assassination."
He noted: "General Soleimani was the peacemaker of our region and we will not allow the US to remain unpunished in terms of international law. The second anniversary of martyred General Soleimani's assassination is close, and God willing, we will see a trial before that."
