Yerevan (IP) – The five-year memorandum of cooperation (MoC) between the Iranian and Armenian Mountaineering and Sport Climbing Federations for five years was signed by the representatives of the two sides.

Iran PressAsia: The memorandum, which was an extension of the previous one in 2015, was signed in the presence of the Vice-President of the Iranian Federation Homayoun Bakhtiari and President of the Armenian Federation Soren Danielian on September 17 in Yerevan.

On the sidelines of the memorandum signing, the Armenia federation presented the book and badge of the first ascent of Everest by Russians in 1982 to Homayoun Bakhtiari.

Some of the provisions of the memorandum are:

Holding joint events

Holding joint training courses

Mountain rescue

Organizing and preventing incidents in the mountains

Exchange of experiences in mountaineering, Himalayan climbing, and sport climbing

Environmental activities and preservation of the mountain environment
