Dushanbe (IP): The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran arrived in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit and a bilateral meeting.

Iran PressAsia: Ebrahim Raisi, has arrived in Tajikistan at the official invitation of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit and was officially greeted at the airport by Tajik Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda.

This is the first foreign trip of Iran's 8th President. In addition to attending the Shanghai Summit, he will have bilateral meetings with high-ranking officials and heads of delegations present at the SCO Summit.

After attending the Shanghai Summit, Raisi will also have a bilateral meeting with his Tajik counterpart, and the two countries' high-level delegations will discuss ways to develop relations in joint sessions.

Meetings and talks with several leaders and officials attending the Shanghai Summit on bilateral and regional issues of interest and attending the meeting with Iranians residing in Tajikistan are among the plans for the first day of President Ra'isi's visit to Tajikistan.
