Head of Iran's Arbaeen Headquarters, Hossein Zolfaghari

Tehran (IP) – Head of Iran's Arbaeen Headquarters says the Iraqi government has agreed that 60,000 Iranians can participate in the Arbaeen march in Iraq.

Iran PressIran News: Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday at Interior Ministry, Hossein Zolfaghari stated that the visas for Arbaeen pilgrims are free of charge.

He also noted that those eligible for pilgrimage must register in Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to get their visas.

"Based on negotiations with the Iraqi government, Pilgrims who return to Iran after the Arbaeen march will be tested for COVID-19 for free," he added.

He highlighted that 72 hours before the trip, the pilgrims' PCR test must be negative and asked those who had not received both doses of the COVID vaccine not to register for the march.
